Developing Gospel values, a commitment to service and strong academic skills.
According to Dr. Seuss, “Today your mountain is waiting”. Every day exciting, creative opportunities await the students of St. Anthony School. Many of these occur within the normal classroom setting but an equal number of learning enhancements occur in other areas.
The computer lab offers an extensive menu of varied assignments that challenge students of all ages to develop computer-generated projects. These might include money management, poetry, and art. These “out of the box” activities encourage students to explore their own creativity.
The library is much more than a place to check out or return a book. Throughout the year students are exposed to thematic, hands on projects designed to inform, expand previous knowledge, and explore unknown areas. Many projects are completed over a three-six week period, then displayed for all grades to enjoy. Such opportunities include folder lap books, posters, life-sized book characters, and class books. Topics range from biographies to ancient enigmas to inventors and their inventions to historical time periods. Art projects devoted to seasonal themes are prominently and proudly mounted in the hall “gallery”.
