Developing Gospel values, a commitment to service and strong academic skills.
Room Parents
Room Parents are selected at the beginning of each new school year for each class. Room Parent volunteer forms are included in the “Back to School” packet, which are distriubuted on the first day of school. They should be returned on or before “Back to School” Night in August.
Room Parents support the classroom teacher, involve classroom parents in school life, and act as a liaison between the school, teacher, PTO, and classroom parents. Room Parents also assist with the coordination of parents for volunteer activities their respective classes participate in, such as Karnival Krazy, Annual School Auction, Seder Meal, field trips, class parties, and school-wide events.
We would appreciate a couple of parents in each classroom accepting the important role(s) of being a Head Room Parent Chair or Co-Chair. These parents will work closely as a liaison between classroom families, the Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO), and school fundraising activities.
Attendance at the Diocesan required “Protecting God’s Children” program and compliance with Diocesan Policy for Safe Environment is required for parents and others who volunteer and/or attend classroom parties, field trips, etc. Safe Environment training sessions are offered by the Parish/School. The program may also be completed at any session offered in the Diocese.
For more information regarding Room Parents, please contact the school office.
Parties
Class parties are held for: Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and End of Year. Parties may vary for grade levels. Room parents plan the classroom parties.
As always...thank you for making our school special through your generous support of time and talents!
